Not sure which coupler standard your tractor or skid steer uses? Here's how to identify the four most common hydraulic quick-coupler standards — ISO 16028 (flat face), ISO 7241-A, ISO 7241-B, and ISO 5675/Ag Pioneer — before you order.
ISO 16028 (Flat Face) — sizes 1/4" through 1", common on Bobcat and most skid steers. Distinguished by a flat, flush face with no protruding pins.
ISO 7241-A — sizes 1/4" through 1", found on various ag and construction equipment. Poppet-style with a distinct nose profile.
ISO 7241-B — sizes 1/2" and 1", found on various ag and construction equipment, and also common in the oil industry.
ISO 5675 / Ag Pioneer — the traditional ag coupler, sizes 1/4" through 1/2", common on John Deere, Kubota, and Pioneer-style ag fittings.
Most commonly confused: The 1" and 1/2" ISO 16028 flat-face couplers look similar but are not interchangeable — this is the #1 reason for returns. Measure the outer diameter of the male coupler tip before ordering, not just the hose size.
How to identify your coupler:
Check the coupler's face shape — flat face (ISO 16028) vs. poppet-style (7241-A/B, Ag Pioneer)
Measure the outer diameter of the male coupler tip
Independently confirm your size — there's no universal standard across manufacturers, so don't assume based on your machine's brand or model alone
